Poplar Hall Cottage
Datum Point Construction transformed this 17th century cottage from a damp and cold space to a cosy family living room.
The project was not without its challenges.
The damp proof membrane on the floor had to be removed and relaid using several experimental methods to ensure the integrity of the house was preserved and protected but also that the floor was properly sealed and ready to have reclaimed French oak floor boards laid.
Walls were tanked and beams were replaced and aged to ensure that they fit with the look of the house.
