Hawkley House

Datum Point Construction is pleased to announce that the Hawkley House development in Billericay, Essex, was completed in August 2019.

Works comprised the conversion of an office building into seven apartments, and the conversion of an under croft carpark into an additional property.

Development Timeline

Early October 2018 – Datum Point Construction sought advice and assurances from Planning Consultants.
Late October 2018 – Datum Point Construction exchanged contracts on the purchase of the site unconditionally without the benefit of planning permission.
Late October 2018 – Planning applications were submitted.
December 2018 – Datum Point Construction was granted permission to convert the existing office building into flats under permitted development.
January 2019 – Datum Point Construction was granted permission to build a flat in the location of the undercroft carpark, extend one of the dormers and build a new dormer to expand one of the flats.
February 2019 – Datum Point Construction completed purchase.
May 2019 – Building Control approved Building Reg design.
August 2019 – Works completed and 4 out of 8 units reserved immediately on open day.
